Ceremonial opening of five Stations of Remembrance in the 20th district and one in the 2nd district on 10 October 2024
Despite the truly inclement weather, at least 50 people gathered in Sachsenpark in Brigittenau today for the opening of the new Stones of Remembrance. There are currently 51 Stations of Remembrance here in the district.
Mrs Roswitha Hammer opens today’s event by welcoming the politicians representing her district: District Head Christine Dubravac-Widholm and her deputy Karl Dwulit for the 20th district and for the 2nd district Mrs District Councillor Astrid Rompolt. Mrs Hammer then introduces the association and explains the programme for this afternoon.
Today we also remember the people in the Middle East who have been living in war and terror for a year.
