A compilation by Rudolf Forster, volunteer worker for the “Stones of Remembrance”

Our brochures present individual fates, mostly based on the research of relatives. We supplement these here with two more general texts compiled by our volunteer Rudolf Forster: Firstly, by a characterisation of those typical places where the further fate of Viennese Jews was decided after their deportation from Vienna. Secondly, through an alphabetical list of all the places to which Viennese Jews were deported, where they had to perform forced labour and where the vast majority of them finally died as a result of exhaustion, illness, mistreatment or targeted murder.
