Ceremonial opening of three Stations of Remembrance in Alsergrund
on Thursday, 11.5.2023

50 people – relatives from England, USA and France, initiators, district representatives, interested people and friends – came to the ceremonial opening at Spittelauerplatz.At Wilhelm-Exner-Gasse 25 we commemorate Gisela Skorpis and her son Ladislaus Danzingers.
Gisela’s great-granddaughter Marianne Skorpis and her mother Danielle have come from France.

Jasmin Meiri opens the meeting with a song.

Then Roswitha Hammer introduces the relatives and their families.

District head Saya Ahmad greets everyone very warmly.
Her speech is very touching and ends with the words: “As district leader I am responsible that such crimes never happen again… I am proud of our human rights district. In Alsergrund we stick together.” (Link)


Gussenbauergasse 1:

Aaron Kern, grandson of the Kernberg family, travelled with his wife Leslie from Los Angeles to commemorate the Kernberg family.

Initiators of the stone Lilly and Sabine Meier.

Jasmin ends the ceremony at this stone with the song: “We live forever.”


Porzellangasse 58:

The stone is in memory of Paul Weiss and was organised by his great-granddaughter Karen Huntley.
The Huntley family, the Stokes family and new Viennese friends remember Paul Weisz’.


Wilhelm-Exner-Gasse 25:
